Now comes with sufficient motor and belt combination |
Among Spirit treadmills, the ET-488 is the first model to have what we can say a good match when it comes to the belt and motor combination. Just like the ET-388, it has a 20" x 55" belt but this time, it has a more sufficient 2.5HP motor powering it. |

Console features cooling fans, MP3 player support, and quick speed and incline buttons. |
When working out, you may want to freshen up using the cooling fan feature built on the console. You can also plug in your MP3 players using the input jack and listen to your favorite songs coming out of the built-in sound system. Another notable addition to the ET-488 is the qucik speed and incline buttons you can fond in the treadmill's console. Choose your desired setting with a touch of a button. With these features, you don't only get a more convenient workout but also an entertaining one as well. |

Handrail controls |
The Et-488 gives you several options for controlling the treadmill's setting. You can either adjust it using the console setting buttons, the one-touch keys, or using the controls located on the handrails which is something not available in many treadmills in the market today. By using these handrail controls, adjust the ET-488's settings without loosing your footing and without breaking the pace. |

10 programs |
May be considered a lower Pro but the number of programs is among the improvements of this model. |

No noise reduction feature |
While it's common for treadmills to have a noise reduction feature, we never found information if the ET-488 has one. If it doesn't, then we can say that it's potentially noisier than usual. For a treadmill worth $1000, you should expect to have this noise reduction feature included. |
|
10 MPH max speed and 10% max incline |
With the ET-488 worth over $1000, having a maximum speed and incline of just 10MPH and 10% repectively is below average. Although 10MPH is still quite fast especially if you're not used to serious running, we've seen other treadmills offer a max speed of 12MPH and 15% incline. |
