3.0HP motor and longer belt at 60" for the price. |
For treadmills priced below $1000, you don't often get a 3HP motor and a spacious 20" x 60" belt. This combination is above average as we're used to seeing just around 2.5HP motors and 20" x 55" belts in this price range. |

Good parts warranty of 3 years |
You get a longer parts warranty of 3 years with the Power 995 as compared to just 1 to 2 years with other brands. Especially when information on some components aren't that accesible, the 3 year parts warranty is somewhat of an assurance from Proform. |

Complete package and iFit Live compatible |
The Power 995 gives you almost all the features you're looking for in a treadmill. You get an MP3 player support, cooling fans, quick speed and incline buttons, folding feature, cushioning, and contact grips. Another important thing is that it's compatible with the innovative iFit Live that lets you bring your workout to the next level. It makes use of the internet to give you new workouts, have virtual trainers, and many other features to keep you motivated. |

325 max user weight |
For sub-$1000 treadmills, a 325-lb maximum user weight capacity is good because not many treadmills in the lower-middle residential price bracket can support users this heavy. Just take note that even though the specs say it can handle a 325-lb user, we don't know how much this treadmill weighs. |

Roller size, unit weight, belt plies unknown |
One drawback with Proform products is that they don't provide information on how big their rollers are, how heavy the machine weighs, and if the belt plies are multi-ply or not. Maybe these information are not actively sought out by potential buyers, but we've seen other brands put emphasis on these components. Maybe it's about time Proform provide information on these items so we can erase all doubts especially when we're speaking of durability and quality. |
