Slightly above average motor for 20"x 60" belt |
While most treadmills that have a 20" x 60" belt come with a 3HP motor, we're happy that this model carries a slightly higher motor rating at 3.25HP. This means lesser stress would be put on the motor and may be a key to prolonging its life. |
|
Strong parts warranty |
For treadmills selling at $1500 or below, we consider 5 years or parts warranty as above average since most treadmills we've reviewed in this price range carries an average of just 2 to 4 years. |
|
26 programs |
While 10-24 programs are common in treadmills is all price range, the Performance 1450 has 26 programs as if the iFit Live is not enough. This would be a great alternative should you prefer not to go online and just settle for the built-in programs. |

|
Belt plies not stated |
One drawback with Proform treadmills is they tend not to mention information on certain components like belt plies. Not to say that the belt that comes with this treadmill is of poor quality but you have reasons to doubt when you don't have access to such information. |
|
Unit weight not stated |
This unstated unit weight is common among Proform and Nordictrack treadmills. Remember that when you're pounding while running on something like this treadmill, it's important for the machine to be sturdy. It's either the machine is light for the company to withhold the info or it's just that they totally overlooked providing the unt weight of this machine. |
|
Roller size unknown |
This is among the issues Proform has to deal with in the future. We cannot say if the roller that comes with this treadmill is smaller than what it should be but we all would have peace of mind knowing if these components comply with the standards. |
