Strong motor for the price

Having reviewed many treadmills in different price ranges, we can say that you get a strong motor at 2.5HP for a $649 treadmill. For treadmills below $700, we usually see a 2.0HP motor and to see the 850T with a 2.5HP motor, it's unusual but favorable to you as users.

Built-in sound system and fan

These 2 features, although common, are seldom offered in treadmills selling for $700 or below. With the 850T, you’ll feel refreshed with using the console’s built-in fans while at the same time entertained with your favorite workout music coming from the treadmill’s sound system speakers.

Extended parts and labor warranty upon registration

When you purchase an 850T treadmill and register with Proform, you get an additional 1 year manufacturer warranty on parts and labor for a total of 2 years warranty.

Unknown roller size, belt plies, and unit weight

As with all Proform (and Nordictrack) treadmills, these 3 components aren't given much emphasis or not discussed in the website's product specifications. We believe it's important for us to know information about these components as they comprise the treadmill's quality and durability aspect. If something is left unstated, chances are, they're withholding information they don't want you to know, so unless Proform discloses details with regards to these components, we have reasons to question its products durability and quality.
