18 programs |
The 14.0CE comes with 18 built-in programs to help you in your workouts. Other brands in this price range only offer an average of 7-11 programs. This means you get more variety in terms of workout options suited for weight loss or for toning or building your muscles. |
25 degree power ramp |
The 14.0CE features an incline that goes up to 25 degrees. This would make your workouts more challenging since it's harder to stride with an ascending slope. Compared to running on a leveled surface, you burn more calories running uphill. This incline level simulates just that and gives you the same results. |
Oversized and cushioned |
You get to have a more comfortable workout the 14.0CE's oversized and cushioned pedals. Since you're on these pedals all the time, these enhancements would allow you to position your feet convenient to you and lessen the stress on your joint even more with cushioning. |
Comes with fans, soft grips handles, MP3 player support |
This elliptical's bells and whistles are impressive given the $759 price. Not normally seen in ellipticals priced as the 14.0CE are cooling fans, cushioned handlebars, and an MP3 player support. These enhancements provide you not only a more comfortable workout but also an entertaining one. |
SpaceSaver design |
Another notable feature of the 14.0CE is that you can fold it and save as much as 3 feet of space. This is ideal if you have a limited space in your house. This SpaceSaver folding feature is unique to Icon products which include treadmills and ellipticals of Proform. |

N brakes warranty |
Even though the 14.0CE features a magnetic resistance, we can't give it appropriate marks for its brakes warranty. Other brands make a big deal of providing up to 10 years warranty on its brakes especially if it's equipped with Eddy Current which is known to be the best resistance system in ellipticals today. Since no brakes warranty is specified, the 1-year on parts takes effect but that still is below average. |
14 resistance levels only |
One of the 14.0 CE's weaknesses is that it only has 14 resistance levels. Although it may be okay for you, it's just that we've seen other models offer more than 14. Most elliptical often come with 16 to 20 resistance levels. |
Unknown unit weight |
300lbs may be too much for a $759 machine. This is especially true if you don't know how much this elliptical weighs. One known problem with Proform is that they're not disclosing its machines' unit weight. This makes us unable to verify this 300-lb max user weight capacity claim, or simply if this elliptical is sturdy enough. |
