Adjustable stride lengths up to 35" |
One feature that makes this elliptical stand out among the rest is its rare maximum stride length of 35". Doing long strides is equivalent to incline training as this gives you difficulty and challenge. There are also shorter stride options since the 35S offers an adjustable stride feature. |
|
30 programs |
When you have multiple users at home, chances are, one person's workout preference differs from another. With 30 programs, the 35 S can surely provide several options to choose from and not be limited to just 11 to 17 found in other ellipticals in this price level. |
|
Long parts warranty |
The 35S comes with a 7-year parts warranty. This is longer compared to what other companies provide which is normally around 3-6 years. This suggests that the 35S's parts are built to last longer. |

Comes with a built-in sound system and cooling fans |
If you're somebody who loves to move along the beat of your favorite music, then you'll appreciate the 35S's built-in sound system. You can connect your MP3 player via using the included 3.5mm cable connector. When cooling down, the console's built-in fans keep you fresh. These features are commendable since it provides you a more comfortable and enjoyable workout session. |

Unknown unit weight and flywheel weight |
One downside with Nordictrack products is that they don't provide information when it comes to unit weight. For their elliptical machines, they also fail to give the flywheel's actual weight. These info may be the last thing customers would ask but wouldn't it be nice if we have access to these information? The unit's weight gives you an idea if the elliptical is durable while the flywheel weight determines how smooth your stride would be. |

Brakes warranty not mentioned, 1 year on labor |
For a $2000 machine, having a 1 year labor warranty is something on the low end. Many others offer 2 years labor warranty and this can be a good selling point since labor costs are expensive. Additionally, no brakes warranty was mentioned on the 35S's website so the 7-year parts warranty applies. This may be better than the 1 to 2 years brakes warranty given by lower models but we’ve seen other manufacturers offer brakes warranty as long as 10 years to lifetime. |

No reverse stride and oversized pedals only |
For an expensive machine that's almost $2000, we're expecting to see a reverse stride feature. This allows you to focus on our glutes and other muscles at the back of your legs. Many ellipticals that are priced as the 35S also have cushioned and adjustable footplates and not limited to oversized pedals only. |
