iFit Live built-in |
Being the 'big brother' of the Elite 9500 Pro, we're expecting it to have the iFit Live module as well. It still tops the list as the iFit Technology is the most innovative feature to hit the treadmill industry. |
Strong 4.0HP motor plus a 22" x 60" belt |
You have a very good motor and belt combination with the Elite 9700's 4HP motor and spacious 22" x 60" belt. We seldom see a 22" belt width as 20" is the standard. |
10" web browser touch screen |
The centerpiece of the Elite 9700 Pro's console is the 10" Android-powered browser that lets you do online stuff. It goes well with the iFit Live technology and so much more. |
Has a -3 decline feature |
This decline feature lets you add challenge to your training. Experience running downhill or walking on a downward slope. You'll never experience this most other treadmills and this is one feature the Elite series is very proud of. |
34 built-in workouts |
While the average treadmill only has 10 to 24 workouts included, 34 is good number for you if you don't intend to use the built-in iFit Live after the 1 year subscription expires. |

Potentially expensive price tag |
At the time of this review, the Elite 9700 Pro is not on sale and has a very expensive price tag of $3,299. Judging from the way Nordictrack puts its items on sale, you can probably get this machine for about $2,200 to $2,500. |
Unknown unit weight |
As expected from Nordictrack, the unknown unit weight would cost them low marks in our grading sheet. We're hoping this company will soon reveal information about this feature so we'll remove doubts if this machine can hold up to heavy users. |
Roller size not stated |
This is the same case with Nordictrack treadmills' unit weight. Even if it comes with a strong 7-year parts warranty, it would be better if they just disclose information about this particular component. |
