18' - 20 adjustable stride |
With this feature, users of different stature would surely find a stride length that's comfortable for them. Adjusting the stride lengths would also allow you to focus on different muscle groups. Many elliptical in the market have fixed strides and won't have the advantages I mentioned above. |
|
Up to 30% incline |
The E7.1 offers a powered incline feature to add difficulty to your workouts. Harder workouts most of the time give better results. For your convenience, on the other hand, you don't have to manual adjust these incline levels since it is a powered incline. This means you can adjust the incline settings using the console. |
|
20 programs |
While many ellipticals priced below $1000 come with around 7 to 11 built-in workouts, the E7.1 has more to offer. Although most likely, you'll only choose a number of programs as your favorite workouts, a wide range to choose from is good especially if you have multiple users in your home. |
|
Built-in sound system |
Listening to music keeps you entertained and is a good cure to boredom. Elliptical manufacturers have this in mind that's why they incorporate built-in sound systems on the machine's consoles and you’ll be getting that luxury with the E7.1. This is especially sweet because not many $800 ellipticals come with this feature. |
|
Oversized and cushioned pedals |
Your feet never leave the pedals for the whole duration of your workout so it's important that you're comfortable. Not only does this elliptical have cushioned pedals, it's also bigger than usual so you can position your feet in a way that's comfortable for you. |
|
Folding |
NordicTrack’s trademark SpaceSaver lives up to its name since when you’re not using this machine, you can fold it to save almost 3 feet of space. This feature is good if you have a limited space in your home but have its downside. Putting folding joints may compromised the elliptical's durability. |

|
Unknown information on machine weight and flywheel weight. |
We're used to Nordictrack not disclosing information with regards to their elliptical's unit weights and flywheels except for newer models or if it would impress customers. This issue counts among this company's known weaknesses. |

Brakes warranty not stated |
When there's no mention how long the brakes warranty is, it's safe to say that the parts warranty applies. If this is the case, you only get 1 year guarantee and we doubt if the brakes would need replacement before 12 months. This is a potential expense should this component breaks down after 1 year. |
