Bowflex Treadmills
Perhaps best known for its infomercial roots in the home gym industry, Bowflex is also a fierce competitor in the treadmill industry piggybacking off its own brand’s success. In a recent edition of Consumer Reports—the consumer bible for product reviews, the Bowflex Series 7 treadmill was awarded a “best buy”. (You can read the users’ and experts’ consensus on the Series 7 which takes this “best buy” rating into consideration by visiting the link below.) Bowflex is also known for pioneering the unique Treadclimber products which combines the motion of a treadmill, stair stepper and an elliptical all into one machine.

Users of Bowflex are in general, very positive and happy with their purchase. Experts however seem to offer a more cautious tone citing problematic areas in electronics and cases where treadmills breakdown far too quickly compared to higher quality models in the same price range. Users have often commented on how running on a Bowflex treadmill is comparable to running on a treadmill found at the gym. Although the experts are not as impressed as the users, they do think the running area and cushioning are above average.

The heavily hyped Bowflex Treadclimbers in comparison are harshly criticized by experts. Its users have mixed opinions citing numerous cases of poor construction, missing parts and difficult assembly. In cases where they were able to get the Treadclimber up and running, users are generally happy although more advanced athletes might not find the Treadclimber to be challenging enough.
