What You Should Do
Having been long out of production, getting it used or remanufactured is your only choice. If you’ve already read our article on the process of remanufacturing, you know you can potentially get a lot of treadmill for a lot less money than if you were to buy it new. Of course, you should expect older models to not have as many lights and whistles as newer models but commercial treadmills should be structurally sound (or they shouldn’t be called commercial units). Just make sure you get the seller's definition of “remanufactured” if you do decide to buy as not sellers service their used products equally.
At the time of writing, there are 6 other models from Cybex besides the Cybex Trotter 700 treadmill on this site that you can consider if you are looking for a remanufactured or used commercial treadmill. The Cybex 900T is probably the best model out of all the Cybex remanufactured treadmills that we’ve researched on but the lack of expert and user reviews makes it very difficult for us to recommend any of them. Finally, you should also consider Precor or Life Fitness if you’re in the market for a remanufactured unit.
