The EVO FX20 is the most affordable model from EVO fitness and is said to be a good value as it comes with the famous motion sensor speed control even at this price range. For serious treadmill users, experts recommend going up the EVO lineup citing the EVO FX40HR as a possible option. The FX20 is an improved version of the older Evo FX2-M model which had problems in its "fits and finishes" as one expert wrote but that has since been fixed in the newer model.

What You Should Do
An above average treadmill all around, the EVO FX20HR would probably make a lot of buyers happy especially since the motion sensor function/gimmick (which allows the user to adjust speeds by waving their hands over the sensors) is still included at this price. But once the novelty wears off, how does the EVO FX20HR fare in the long term?
Despite what we would like to believe, the EVO FX20HR is probably not going to last under regular running. In fact, you should not expect any treadmill that hovers around the $1000 area (even those we recommended as best buys) to be able to do this. Treadmills still cost too much to make even with all the overseas production. But if your main intent is regular jogging, the EVO FX20HR should hold up fine as quality ratings from experts indicate.
One important thing you should know about this treadmill is that there is a no heart rate control version which costs about $200 less. But if you choose this option, the parts warranty is also reduced from an above average 5 years to just an average 3 years. If you are willing to forgo the heart rate control and the longer warranty, the EVO FX20 would turn a good choice into a great choice for the budget treadmill shopper. Verdict: The EVO FX20HR at its original MSRP of $1499 is overpriced. If you don’t need heart rate control, the EVO FX20 is a much better deal at $1299 but we still feel that it is overpriced. We believer our under $1000 picks are often not only cheaper but also more featured laden and better built than the EVO FX20
